In Loving Memory of Emma “Dee” Heller

October 2, 1954-June 25, 2017-Emma “Dee” Heller was called home to be with The Lord on June 25, 2017.  She was born in Ravenna, Ohio on October 2, 1954 to Edwin and Hortense Fortson.  She was the seventh of nine children.  At a young age she met the love of her life, Charles Ray Heller, whom she later married.  Born to this union were two children, Duane and Danielle.

In 1976, they relocated to Southern California where she obtained her Associated Degree in Business.  She was known for her classy style of fashion, her pretty smile, and her big laugh.  Dee was very determined and motivated, which led to her excelling in whatever she set her mind to do.  In the early 80’s, she became the Director at one of the leading Law Firms in Century City.  There she implemented an intranet system that augmented the way records were being handled at that time.  Her relentless work ethic, sand love for order created opportunities to be promoted into management wherever she was employed.

Dee loved The Lord and gave her life to Him at a very young age.  She enjoyed working in ministry as the church secretary where she helped to build and established using the business expertise and people skills she acquired throughout the year.   Though she suffered with long term illness, including having her left heel amputated, she never lost her faith in God.
