LANCASTER CITY PARK RENAMED: SERGEANT STEVE OWENS MEMORIAL PARK

lancaster-city-park

Tuesday October 25, 2016 at the Lancaster City Council Meeting, Mayor Rex Parris  proposed renaming the Lancaster City Park to Sergeant Steve Owens Memorial Park.  Detective Tania Owens and Chadd Owens were on hand to give their approval.  The proposal passed 4-0 in favor of the name change.

We cannot think Mayor Parris and Vice Mayor Crist, City Council Member Underwood-Jacobs and Malhi enough for this beautiful tribute to Sergeant Owen.

We look forward to many generations of Lancaster residents learning about him and enjoying the park.  Our hearts are full.  Thank you City of Lancaster CA
