Metzar sets eyes on Major League Baseball


The Proud Parents of Ted and Susan Metzgar of Lancaster ,California..  Named WAC Tournament MVP…hit .409 with one home run, five RBI’s, and four runs scored during the tournament.

He added one double, one triple, and one stolen base in five tourney games…named first team All-Conference…hit .345 with one home run and 16 RBI’s in conference play…led team in batting average (.347), RBI’s (42), at-bats (251), runs scored (47), hits (87), doubles (17), assists (189), and total bases (114)…was 15th in Division I in hits…posted 28 multiple hit games and 13 games in which he has had multiple RBI’s…had a 13-game hitting streak ended May 9 at Grand Canyon, tying him with Oscar Sanay (2011) for the sixth longest in school history…reached base in 19 consecutive games at one point in 2015…named WAC Hitter of the Week Mar. 2 and was also named WAC Player of the Week by College Sports Madness Mar. 2.

2014 (FRESHMAN): Led team in hitting (.312)…second on team in assists (120)…drove in 11 runs…scored 19 runs.

HIGH SCHOOL:  David Metzar graduated in 2013 from Paraclete High School.  His coach was Lance Piereson.  David is a member of the 2013 second team California small schools All-State Baseball Team.  Selected first team All-CIF and first team ALL-League as a senior.  Chosen first team All-League and first team All-CIF as a junior.  A first team ALL-League selection as a sophomore and second team All-League choice as a freshman.  In 2012 and 2013 Metzgar’s team won the league titles.
