Davis contributes to Broncos first win of 2016


Todd Davis (born May 17, 1992) is an American football linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He played college football at Sacramento State University and attended Paraclete High School in Lancaster, California. He has also been a member of the New Orleans Saints.

Davis played for the Sacramento State Hornets from 2010 to 2013. He recorded 21 total tackles as freshman in 2010. In 2011, he finished with 96 total tackles averaging 8.7 per game, 1 sack, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. In 2012, he finished with 103 total tackles averaging 9.4 per game, 3.5 sacks, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 1 fumble recovered, and 2 pass breakups. In 2013, Davis finished with 131 tackles averaging 10.9 per game, 5 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, 2 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, 4 passes broken up, and 1 block.

Davis was signed by the New Orleans Saints on June 23, 2014 after going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was released by the Saints on August 31 and signed to the team’s practice squad on September 1, 2014. He was promoted to the active roster on October 18, 2014. Davis made his NFL debut on October 19, 2014 against the Detroit Lions. He was released by the Saints on November 12, 2014.

Davis signed with the Denver Broncos on November 13, 2014. On February 7, 2016, Davis won Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos against the Carolina Panthers defeating them 24-10.
